PROJECT OVERVIEW

A New Hub for Worship and Community Connection

New Building for Renewed Approach

Streetlight Christian Church is a new purpose-built facility located on the site of the congregation’s former church. Designed to support the church’s expanding role in the community, the building features a worship center with seating for up to 200 people and a multi-use lower level dedicated to youth and adult outreach programs.

Design Approach & Community Focus

The design emphasizes flexibility and community engagement. Key program spaces include classrooms, toddler areas, a sensory room, meeting rooms, and offices to accommodate the church’s diverse activities. A commercial-grade kitchen adjacent to the worship center supports community dinners and special events.

A prominent feature of the new building is its orientation toward the main intersection, highlighted by an expansive outdoor patio. This inviting space serves as an extension of the lobby, creating an accessible gathering place for interaction between church members and the surrounding neighborhood.

Outcome & Impact

Streetlight Christian Church stands as a vibrant community hub, offering well-attended youth programs and fostering a strong connection with the surrounding neighborhood. The thoughtful combination of indoor and outdoor spaces ensures the building remains a welcoming and functional part of the community for years to come.
