Divinity College, McMaster University — Hamilton, ON
Reinders + Law Ltd. were retained to redevelop the courtyard of Divinity College on the McMaster University campus and transform the student environment with a new masterplan for development.
Project Overview
The masterplan proposed building an enclosure around the existing courtyard, in order to provide a new cultural education space. Systematically, the classroom spaces, meeting spaces, study areas, administrative office, and the Chapel would be renovated and redeveloped to provide a refreshed look for the existing structure.
Outside of the courtyard, a barrier-free entrance addition would be constructed, in order to present a new face to the university campus. The development would allow the college to re-establish itself in the ever-changing campus landscape.
The project is currently in the fundraising stage and construction is anticipated in 2018.
