Global Kingdom Ministries retained Reinders + Law Ltd. to develop two life lease developments for seniors on the existing church parking lot. The development was centred around an interior courtyard to allow ease of access to and from the Church facility, which offered additional programs for residents.
Project Overview
The development consisted of two multi-story residential complexes for seniors, with construction divided into two phases:
- Phase One — A first life lease housing development with 20 storeys and 204 units.
- Phase Two — A second life lease housing development with 25 storeys and 244 units.
The development will also include two levels of underground parking below the seniors’ development and a four to five-storey parking garage behind the Church facility. Amenity areas will be included on the ground and second floor levels, as well as retail commercial units facing the adjacent Markham Road.
